At Vergani, a lot revolves around Bell'Arte. About the fine arts, on stage, in the glass. Nowhere else is this more visible than in our concept store on Löwenplatz, where not only wine, but also art, design and, on these two special evenings, ballet will play a major role. Together with Sarah-Jane Brodbeck and Katharina Lips, we are putting on two performances that are about the sensuality of the moment. About movement, expression and class.
On Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st, Krasina Pavlova and Arshak Ghalumyan, both solo dancers of the Berlin Ballet Company, will be our guests. The two dancers will be accompanied musically by pianist Mladen Dabižljević. We are already looking forward to a top-class ballet evening with exquisite wines of the same class. What is included in the ticket price?
The ticket price includes a 3-course dinner (Grande Aperitivo, pasta, dessert), the ballet show accompanied by live piano music in three acts and the matching wine pairing. Participants of the event will witness how a sensual stage between wine, piano and ballet art is created.
Who is behind Homage to Ballet?
At Brodbeck & Lips, everything revolves around dance. The founding team consists of former soloist (Zurich Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet and Berlin State Ballet) Sarah-Jane Brodbeck and Katharina Lips, who previously worked as show project manager and right-hand woman to the producer at MAAG Music & Arts. Today, the two are active under the name Brodbeck & Lips, organizing events and are involved in dance education and health promotion for dancers. The show is curated by Vahe Martirosyan as artistic director.
What can be seen in the show?
"We invite top international dancers every year and our goal is to make ballet accessible to a wider audience. To do this, we show entertaining pieces that cover a wide range of ballet, from classical to modern, in the spirit of the different styles of the choreographers," says Sarah-Jane Brodbeck about her annual ballet evening 'Homage to Ballet - A Night with the Stars'. "The ballet show at Löwenplatz makes it possible to experience the art of ballet up close and get to know it better in an intimate setting. A top-class tasting, wine and ballet." Which three pieces will be presented this evening is a surprise, but anyone who knows the two organizers knows that this can only be a world-class performance. This experience is paired with a wine tasting tailored to the show. And of course, visitors can enjoy a live concert by pianist Mladen Dabižljević.
