The Ca’Marcanda winery is solely owned by the Gaja family and is located near Bolgheri, nestled in the gentle rolling hills of the Tuscan coast. The climatic conditions in Bolgheri are ideal for international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. Since 1996, Angelo Gaja has planted around 120 hectares of vines here – with the clear goal of not creating interchangeable wines for a global taste, but characterful wines that express the terroir of the Maremma.
