Wine and Bread Festival
A little wine from large bottles, lots of joy of life, live music, the best food, friends and family – that is our Vino-e-Pane festival. For over 130 years, the Vergani family has shaped Zurich's culinary culture. What started with Carlo and Adele Vergani and a few barrels of wine from Italy is now celebrated by thousands of friends every year right in the middle of Zurich.
It gets loud, lively, and perfectly Italian: with wines, delicacies, and people you usually only find together in Rome. There are footballers, old and young, chefs, sommeliers, gastronomy kings, and garage owners – and of course: the wines and the Vergani family.
For this occasion, we close Zentralstrasse between Bertastrasse and Gertrudstrasse – so all friends have enough space. The stage is right on the street, right next to a huge bar. No crowding and no long waits. Just friendship, love, and fun!

DO I HAVE TO PAY ADMISSION?
No. Just walk-in!
HOW DO YOU PAY FOR FOOD AND DRINKS AT THE FESTIVAL?
Our festival is cashless. You can pay by card, Twint, or with your Vergani tokens.
WHERE IS THE DANCING?
Wherever you are! The band is playing on Zentralstrasse, and we've installed speakers throughout the venue.
WHERE DOES IT HAPPEN AFTER THE FESTIVAL?
The festival ends at 9 p.m. For those who don't want to go home yet, the event continues at the Grand Cafe Lochergut .
IS THERE A DEPOSIT ON THE WINE GLASSES?
Yes, you'll pay a CHF 5 deposit for each glass you purchase at the bar. So be sure to keep your glass with you throughout the evening. You can then return it at any wine bar.
IS THERE PARKING ON SITE?
We advise against arriving by car. Moreover, there are practically no available parking spaces in the area at this time of day.

IS THE ENOTECA STORICA OPEN ON THIS DAY?
The entire enoteca is being renovated and repurposed for the festival. Therefore, it will be closed on Friday, June 5, and reopen on Monday, June 8.
AND WHAT'S HAPPENING AT LÖWEPLATZ THAT DAY?
Our entire Vergani team will be on Zentralstrasse that day. For this reason, Löwenplatz will be closed and will reopen on Saturday, June 6th.
