Iconic Wines

Ruffino

If you think of demijohns when you think of Ruffino, you're not wrong, but you're no longer up to date. The traditional Tuscan winery has evolved and strives for perfection. So much so, in fact, that they even managed to win over Olga Fusari, the long-time oenologist at Ornellaia.

With the Icon line, Ruffino pursues the vision of modern and high-quality Tuscans.

The Icon line from Ruffino is a yes to quality and modern wine art. Something really big for us in the near future.

The Icon Wineries

Santedame

There is a place where wine becomes a legend - a place where the terroir determines the heartbeat of exceptional wines. That place is Poggio Casciano, the Ruffino estate where the legendary Riserva Ducale Oro is born.

A unique interplay of tradition and terroir unfolds on the sun-drenched slopes of the Tuscan Chianti. The grapes for the Riserva Ducale Oro grow at an altitude of 320 meters, characterized by calcareous soils and a fresh microclimate. This iconic Chianti Classico Riserva embodies the essence of the region - with depth, elegance and an unmistakable sophistication.

Poggio Casciano

The Poggio Casciano estate, nestled in the idyllic landscape of the Tuscan Chianti not far from Florence, is the lively centre of Ruffino. Here the art of winemaking, hospitality and culinary delights merge to create an unforgettable experience.

At 320 meters above sea level, the vines - Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot - thrive on a demanding terroir. This gives each of the Icon wines a distinctive note. This creates masterpieces such as the Modus Toscana IGT, the Modus Primo Toscana IGT and the Alauda Toscana IGT, which bring the magic of the region to life in every bottle.

Greppone Mazzi

The Greppone Mazzi winery in the fascinating Montalcino region is a true jewel and symbol of Tuscan wine tradition. The name "Greppi", which means "steep, uneven slopes", aptly describes the spectacular locations of the vineyard, which extend to altitudes between 250 and 450 meters.

This is where Sangiovese Grosso, the noble grape variety of Brunello di Montalcino, develops its full potential. The soils of the estate, characterized by clay and loam, ensure an incomparable depth and complexity of the wines. The special microclimate - hot, sunny days and cooling breezes from the nearby sea - gives the grapes perfect ripeness and balance.

The Greppone Mazzi vines, over 50 years old, are the heart of this exceptional vineyard. They are not only a living testimony to the region's rich heritage, but also a guarantee of wines of exceptional fullness, elegance and authenticity. Every drop tells the story of this unmistakable landscape and the passion that goes into its cultivation.
