The modern organic winery COLLINE DI SOPRA was founded in autumn 2006 and taken over in 2015 by agronomist ETH Ing. Ulrich Ziegler. It has four excellent terroirs with a total area of 450 ha. COLLINE DI SOPRA today consists of 20 ha of productive vineyards and 68 ha of newly planted vineyards (or in preparation) with Costa Toscana typical grape varieties, including white varieties. Our sites: COLLINE DI SOPRA is located 10 km from the sea and 15 km from Bolgheri, in the sunny and well-ventilated valley of the Cecina River, in Montescudaio. (Terroir 20 ha / vineyard area 11 ha). MONTE PETRUZZI is only 6 km from the sea in a sunny and clearly ventilated northwest orientation. (Terroir 50 ha / vineyard area 10 ha). IL PARATINO is only a few kilometers from the sea in a sunny south-facing location and protected by hills to the north. In summer, a fresh sea breeze blows. (Terroir 20 ha / vineyard area 12 ha). POGGIO GAGLIARDO is a few kilometers from the sea in a particularly favorable climatic location - sunny, with sea breeze and protection to the north by hills and forest. (Terroir 360 ha / vineyard area 55 ha). The management of our vineyards is rigorously carried out according to organic principles and is controlled by the certification authority ICEA.
