The estate in Capalbio in the southern Maremma covers 55 hectares of land. In 2003, Illaria and Massimo Tosato, together with the talented oenologist Paolo Caciorgna and the agronomist Edoardo Pastorelli, started cultivating 9 hectares of vineyards. The soil structure consists of sandy, iron-rich red clay. Native grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Pugnitello, and Vermentino were planted, as well as the international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Syrah. The microclimate is characterized by cool nights and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea. In 2011, the modern winery was added. In the future, further wines will follow through the expansion of the vineyard areas.
