Full, soft, and harmonious on the palate with blackberry and chocolate notes. The tannins are velvety, the finish lasting with a hint of spices. Next step from the Modus, which was first launched by Ruffino in 1997.

Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon are harvested separately at their best ripeness. Temperature-controlled alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. Then 18 months of aging in French oak barriques (first use).

Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino, inspired by their love for this land and by the reputation of the noble wines that thrive on the hills of Chianti, founded Casa Ruffino in 1877. In 1913, Italo and Francesco Folonari took over the Ruffino winery and enriched it with new vitality and activity, without forgetting the time-honored philosophy of the house.
In 1927, the first Chianti Riserva Ducale was vinified, in recognition and memory of the Duke of Aosta, the first and most significant admirer of Ruffino wines. To this day, this wine is among the most famous in the world from Tuscany. Besides the various Chiantis, Ruffino offers other wines, such as the Supertuscan "Modus" launched in 1997.
