The grapes come from the Piaggia di Poggio a Caiano vineyard, planted in 1972. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, then aging in 100% new French oak barriques. Stored for three years, refined for 12 months in the bottle. Only 1000 bottles produced.

Mauro Vannucci bought the vineyards in the 1970s in the municipality of Piaggia, which overlooked his house. He was convinced that the orientation to the sun and the terroir of these vineyards were perfect for producing great wines. With increased capacity and distribution worldwide, his daughter was brought into the company as managing director. The winery consists of 16 hectares of land, of which 8 hectares are planted with vines.
