Mauro Vannucci hat in den 70er Jahren in der Gemeinde Piaggia die Weinberge gekauft, welche sein Haus überragten. Er war sich sicher, dass die Ausrichtung zur Sonne und das Terroir dieser Weinberge für die Entstehung grosser Weine wie geschaffen war. Mit Erhöhung der Kapazität und Distribution in die ganze Welt wurde seine Tochter als Geschäftsführerin in die Firma aufgenommen. Die Kellerei besteht aus 16 ha Land, davon 8 ha mit Reben bepflanzt.
