Leo Bruni and his son Paolo acquired a small farm in the swampy Maremma Amara in 1955. In the first years, the family dedicated themselves to deforestation, water extraction, and breeding of meat and dairy animals before producing their first wine in the 1970s. In 1974, the Bruni winery was founded, and in the same year, the twins Marco and Moreno were born, who would later lead the company.

In 1995, at the age of twenty, Marco and Moreno took over the management of the company. They refined the oenological techniques, improved product quality, and expanded the markets beyond national borders. Today, the Bruni company covers 40 hectares of vineyards and produces over 320,000 bottles per year, mainly Morellino di Scansano as well as Vermentini, Cabernet, Alicante, international red wines, and IGT wines from the Tuscan Maremma. Cantina Bruni strives to demonstrate the quality of the region's wine products.
