Dominio de Queirón is the project of the Pérez Cuevas family (Ontanon), who have been dedicated to the world of wine for four generations. The winery is located in the heart of the Barrio de Bodegas de Quel, a typical enclave from the 18th century that shows the historical importance of this town in La Rioja for winemaking. Dominio de Queirón is the fulfillment of the dream of Gabriel Pérez, a winemaker who has been developing this project for more than a decade. Gabriel has acquired historic vineyards in the area of Quel, at the foot of the Sierra de Yerga, such as the century-old Garnachas from the Finca El Arca to the high-altitude Tempranillos of the Finca La Pasada, which at up to 800 meters above sea level is one of the highest vineyards in the entire Rioja DOCa.
