José Manuel has launched a personal project aimed at highlighting the vineyards of his home region Valdepeñas. The region was long despised due to its mass production, although it has exceptional vineyards. As a trained oenologist, José Manuel discovered old goblet-shaped vines planted on very poor clay-limestone soils in the highest areas of the DO Valdepeñas, which lie between 740 and 850 meters above sea level. These vines and their terroir give José Manuel's wines a unique personality characterized by richness, power, elegance, and complexity.
