Vitícola Mentridana, the project led by Curro Barreño (Fedellos), continues the work started over 20 years ago by Daniel Landi (Comando G). Dani Landi was one of the pioneers of wines from the Sierra de Gredos, a region with steep granite peaks, forests, and mountain villages in the southwest of Madrid. He worked here with old vines from high-altitude sites on granitic soil and produced elegant, mineral wines that redefined Spanish Garnacha. Today it is Curro who, with the Vitícola Mentridana project, continues this work and still produces fresh, complex, and elegant wines.
