In Zagarolo, an old village built on a tuff stone hill, stands the Federici winery. Here, in this historic place, Antonio Federico began producing wines with regional character in 1960. To this day, the winery is a leader in the production of regional grape varieties such as Malvasia, Trebbiano, Nero Buono, or Cesanese. In 2001, his son Damiano took over the management and significantly expanded the quality standards. Under his own name, Damiano also manages a few hectares in the Roma classico DOC. A vineyard located just a few kilometers from the Colosseum in the city of Rome.
