The winery consists of approximately 72 ha in a panoramic location in Scansano with a wide view over Saturnia to the Tyrrhenian Sea. For many years, Alberto Tanzini, together with his father Leonardo, searched for a perfect place, far from the hectic city, for his winery. The search took him from Valpolicella to Val d'Orcia, always unsuccessfully. He was convinced that the place he was looking for did not even exist. But after a long search, he finally found "his" Roccapesta. The size of the winery was much larger than originally planned. The passion for wine and his adventurous spirit strengthened Alberto in his dream. Countless awards from renowned critics attest to the high quality of Roccapasta, which meanwhile undoubtedly belongs to the best Morellino producers.
