In the south of Montalcino, near the medieval village of S. Angelo in Colle, lies Pian di Conte. A beautiful, old small town and the seat of the renowned Azienda Agricola Talenti. The winery was founded in 1980. The estate includes 27 ha of land, of which 11 ha are vineyards. Pierluigi Talenti was known for the vinification of expressive, characterful wines. After his death, his son and grandson followed in his footsteps and are supported by the well-known oenologist Ferrini.
The vines grow on stony soils with medium structure and a particularly favorable microclimate at an altitude of 200-400 m above sea level. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks and barrels made of Allier and Slavonian oak are available for aging.
