The Piero, a tribute to Pierluigi Talenti, comes from a 1.95-hectare vineyard not far from the center of the estate. It stands out from all other vineyards due to its unique microclimate. The gently sloping terrain, surrounded by woodland, is rich in Galestro, faces southeast, and lies at an altitude of 410 meters above sea level. Its aromas are complex and fresh, rich in ripe red fruits such as plum, black cherry, and raspberry, blending with ripening spices such as tobacco and licorice. On the palate, it is powerful, well-balanced and smooth. Sweet, elegant tannins.

Im Süden von Montalcino, nahe beim mittelalterlichen Ort S. Angelo in Colle, liegt Pian di Conte. Ein schönes, altes Städchen und der Sitz der renommierten Azienda Agricola Talenti. Das Weingut wurde 1980 gegründet. Zum Gut gehören 27 ha Land, davon 11 ha Weinberge. Pierluigi Talenti war bekannt für die Vinifizierung von ausdrucksstarken, charaktervollen Weinen. Nach seinem Tod sind sein Sohn und Enkel in seine Fusstapfen getreten und werden dabei vom bekannten Oenologen Ferrini unterstützt.
Die Rebstöcke wachsen auf steinigen Böden mit mittlerer Struktur und einem besonders günstigen Mikroklima in einer Höhe von 200-400 m.ü.M. Die Vinifikation erfolgt in Edelstahlbehältern und für den Ausbau stehen Fässer aus Allier- und slawonischer Eiche zur Verfügung.
