18 months in new barriques The Grillette Pinot Noir impressed Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin so much that he even served it in his famous airships. When the winery introduced the finest Pinot Noir to the market in 1999, the name immediately caused a stir. This variety has now become almost synonymous with the winery and is considered one of the icons of Swiss winemaking.

As early as 1964, Grillette - as one of the first wineries in Switzerland - planted the Chardonnay grape. They wanted to lead as pioneers. Chardonnay was soon followed by Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
As a pioneer for high-quality authentic wines and an advocate of constant monitoring, the winery developed from the beginning a mentality that is essential for great products. With the 2005 vintage, they continued their search for authenticity by exclusively presenting a single-varietal vineyard wine from a Grillette parcel. The main goal of Domaine De Cressier Grillette is the production of top wines from world-renowned grape varieties. They want to prove that Swiss wines also deserve an honorable place internationally. Since July 1, 2017, Domaine Grillette and Domaine Grisoni have been partnered and jointly offer a diverse selection of wines.
