1. STOP – BERTA

Berta - a story of generations who created a distillery that always seems to stay new while still preserving its unmistakable style. A contemporary traditional business that one should visit at least once in their lifetime. Also, because you can conveniently combine it with the first overnight stay of our journey in the legendary Villa Prato in the small village of Mombaruzzo. The estate was acquired by the Berta family in 2007 and lovingly restored over nine years.

2. STOP – BOROLI

Okay, the name "Boroli" is not rooted in Piedmontese winemaking circles for centuries. The story began in the 1990s. Silvano and Elena Boroli founded the winery in Castiglione Falletto, in the eastern part of the Barolo region. Ten years later, their son Achille took over and has since impressed with profound, precise, and perfectly balanced wines. His philosophy is quite simple: "Consistent quality knows no compromises." This is also reflected in his Locanda del Pilone in Alba, which was awarded a star in the Michelin Guide.

3. STOPP – MASSOLINO

Founded in 1896, now run by the fourth generation, it processes only grapes from its own vineyards. An example? Barolo, DOCG, Parafada, Serralunga d’Alba. The vines and their cultivation are the most important thing at Massolino. In this case, they are up to 60 years old, from which a Barolo to dream of is created. Nothing is left to chance, but much is left to time. The philosophy is clear and straightforward, and the wines from oenologist Giovanni Angeli, who supports the brothers Franco and Roberto Massolino, reflect this. It quickly becomes clear that precision and respect for the fruit of the terroir prevail here.

4. STOP – BOERI

Here the fourth generation is already at work. Thoughtful people, one might say, because the Boeri family winery with its 10 hectares of vineyards is located on the Collina Bricco Quaglia, where the sun shines from morning until evening. Since 1904, three keywords have been written on the family's face: passion, tradition, and quality. The wines from the best own grapes, under their own name, their own brand, were only launched in 1998 by the brothers Giorgio and Roberto.

5. STOP – BLURRING

Another highlight, but not a traditional winery. We are at Mura Mura. That is the name of the wine estate, "Relais Le Marne" is the associated accommodation counterpart. Here, the vision of lived hospitality is expressed in its perfection. Art. Gastronomy. Sport. Poetry and beauty. Luxury in Purezza. And the much-acclaimed wines?
