Untreated lemons are washed and peeled by hand when they are at their ripest. The peels are then soaked in alcohol for 30 days.

Die Distilleria Bottega wurde 1977 von Aldo Bottega, einem Meister-Destillateur mit über 30-jähriger Berufserfahrung in der Grappabereitung, gegründet. Seit seinem Hinschied im Jahre 1983 ist sein Sohn Sandro, mit den Geschwistern Barbara und Stefano, für das Management verantwortlich. 1992 erfolgte die Lancierung der Marke 'Il Vino dei Poeti'. Dies ermöglichte die Erschliessung neuer Märkte. Bereits drei Jahre später gelang die erfolgreiche Wiederbelebung des Fragolino, einem Getränk mit langer Tradition. Bekannt ist die Distilleria Bottega heute für seine feinen und edlen Produkte in wunderschöner Aufmachung. Die Flaschen aus mundgeblasenem Glas wurden eigens von Sandro Bottega entworfen und werden nun unter dem Begriff 'Art in Grappa' angeboten.
