Bright ruby red; the nose is broad, with notes of ripe red fruit that blend well with notes of liquorice and spices. The taste is robust and full-bodied thanks to well-present tannins that blend into the structure of the wine.

Vinification at a controlled temperature followed by maceration for around 20 days. After fermentation, the wine is refined on the fine lees for around 4 months with weekly bâtonnage. From January, the wine matures for 6 months in 500 L French oak tonneau.

In Zagarolo, einem alten Dorf, das auf einem Tuffstein Hügel erbaut wurde, steht das Weingut Federici. Hier, in diesem geschichtsträchtigen Ort, begann Antonio Federico 1960 Weine mit regionaler Persönlichkeit zu produzieren. Bis heute ist das Weingut führend in der Produktion von regionalen Traubensorten wie Malvasia, Trebbiano, Nero Buono oder Cesanese. Ausserhalb Roms sind die Weine der Region Lazio noch nicht sehr bekannt. Dies verwundert auch nicht weiter, werden doch über 60% dieser Weine vor Ort genossen.
