Verdicchio di Matelica PDO Organic Colpaola

The villa, located at the center of the winery, represents fifty years of pride and history between the Porcarelli family and the town of Matelica. Here, at the foot of Mount San Vicino at 650 meters above sea level, Francesco Porcarelli (3rd generation) began bottling and transitioning to organic farming in 2013. By the end of 2018, the cellar was renovated. The original 6.5 hectares of Verdicchio vines were expanded to a total of 10 hectares in 2016. Only 0.5 hectares are planted with Merlot. With every sip of their Verdicchio, you can feel the affection Francesco and Stefania have for their vines.
