Champagne Clos du Moulin Brut Rosé Premier Cru Cattier

The history of the Cattier family began in 1625 in Chigny-les-Roses, where they planted vines. Since then, the winery has been passed down through 12 generations. Alexandre Cattier is now the thirteenth descendant to tend the vines and produce his own Champagne. Under the guidance of Jean-Jacques Cattier, the brand has developed through hard work and passion. Most of Cattier's cellars are located beneath the family estate in Rilly-la-Montagne. They are more than 150 years old and provide ideal conditions for bottle aging. With 119 steps on one side and 136 on the other, these cellars are among the deepest in Champagne. They were excavated on three levels featuring different vaulting styles: Gothic, Romanesque, and Renaissance. Our Brut Premier Cru ages there for over four years, although regulations require only 15 months. Our finest bottles even need more than eight years to develop their unique aromas.
