The wine presents itself in a radiant, lemon-yellow color, interspersed with light golden reflections. On the nose, it unfolds an elegant bouquet of fresh and ripe citrus fruits, accompanied by delicate hints of pastry and a characteristic varietal note of tomato leaf, typical of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, it is broad and intense, with a enveloping body and a fruity, slightly buttery finish. The lively freshness of Fiano provides balance and depth, giving the wine a long-lasting persistence and good aging potential.

The wine initially matures for 12 months on the fine lees in barriques. After clarification and blending of the two wines, the wine matures for a further 6 months in barriques. This is followed by a further 12 months of aging in the bottle before the Collazzi Bianco goes on sale exclusively on Vergani shelves.

Collazzi

Carlo Marchi acquired the winery in 1933. The estate is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region and extends over 390 hectares of land. Only 35 hectares are planted with vines and another 100 hectares with olive trees. The winery belongs to the Marchesi di Frescobaldi family, one of the most renowned wine-producing families in Italy, which also owns Tenuta di Ornellaia. However, Collazzi is managed independently from the group and can therefore fully commit to sustainable quality thinking. Great importance is placed on gentle and selective work in the vineyard, and the harvest is done by hand.
