Smells of white flowers, apricots and peaches. Very dense and creamy on the palate, but not fatty. A fresh acidity supports the finish. Great white wine made from the French grape variety Viognier.

vinification

The must ferments half in used barriques and half in cement tanks with batonnage, where it remains until March (6 months) before being bottled without any clarification. After a further 12 months it goes on sale.

producer

Michele Satta

This winery was founded in 1984 by Michele Satta. With this, he established himself at the top of producers from the Maremma. The Maremma region (near Grosseto) with its limestone soils and vineyards facing the sea has great quality potential. The area gained worldwide fame thanks to Sassicaia. In 1993, Michele Satta started an experiment and planted Cabernet and Merlot, and soon after, about 7 ha of Syrah vines followed. These varieties are vinified separately and later blended for his famous Piastraia or the new Bolgheri DOC. Meanwhile, the winery now covers 25 ha of vineyards.
