Medium ruby red with violet reflections. A youthful freshness with notes of red berries (ripe strawberries) and a subtle hint of spice (bay leaf, cloves) flatter the nose. This aroma is confirmed on the palate, complemented by subtle, ripe tannins and a firm, rounded acidity. A typical Pinot Noir, a strong wine in keeping with the vintage, which will also bring much pleasure in the years to come.

Harvested by hand at the end of October. The berries are separated from the stems and mashed. The mashing time was 15 days in steel tanks. Aging between 8 and 12 months in steel tanks.

Seit die Familie Komminoth 1980 im Maienfeld den ersten eigenen Wein gekeltert hat, ist die Begeisterung für den traditionellen Blauburgunder sowie für immer Neues von Jahr zu Jahr gestiegen. Den Hang zu einer immer besser werdenden Qualität ist für sie eine Selbstverständlichkeit, mittlerweile zählt Komminoth zu den besten Adressen in der Bündner Herrschaft. Heute werden ca. 3.7 Hektaren Reben bewirtschaftet. Die Gesamtfläche verteilt sich auf 15 Parzellen in und um Maienfeld und befinden sich an den besten Lagen für Spitzenweine.
